Online Account - How To Guides
Our online investment platform enables customers to invest into our listed bond directly with Wellesley.
Customers who hold legacy peer-to-peer and mini-bond products will also have access to Wellesley Classic (our original online platform) where they can manage existing holdings. This can be accessed via the 'Wellesley Classic' button which can be found at the top of the screen when logged into your Wellesley Account.

GIAs (general investment accounts) and ISAs (individual savings accounts) have separate cash holding accounts. Please be sure to send funds to the correct account in order to invest.
To add fund to your holding account, please follow the below simple steps:
- Log in to your Wellesley account here.
- Once logged in click ‘INVEST’ from the top menu bar.
- Open the drop-down for the cash account you would like to credit - This will be 'Holding Account' for your GIA or 'ISA Holding Account' for your ISA.
- Click the green ‘Add Cash’ button which will open a pop up with step-by-step instructions on how to add cash to your account via electronic bank transfer or cheque.
- Please complete this form to notify Wellesley of your intent to deposit funds and click ‘Next’.
- Here you will find details on how to arrange payment. Please ensure you include the provided reference number in your payment as indicated. This number will be different depending on if you are depositing to your GIA or ISA, so please take note of this on each payment.
Please note that cheques can take up to seven days from date of credit to clear. Typically bank transfers will take one working day to clear, however BACs payments could take up to four working days.
You can subscribe to a bond before funds are credited to your account, but they must have cleared before a bond's closing date in order for your subscription to go through.
Your funds are not earning interest when in a cash holding account. They will only begin earning interest once subscribed to a bond and after that bond has been listed on Euronext Dublin. Please click here for further information on this process.
It is also worth noting that while there are no restrictions on the value of funds you can add to your account, you will only receive ISA benefits on the first £20,000 invested.
To subscribe funds to a listed bond, please follow the below instructions:
- Log in to your Wellesley account here.
- Once logged in click ‘INVEST’ from the top menu bar.
- Click the purple ‘Invest’ button.
- Select the bond you would like to subscribe funds to from the list.
- Click the ‘Invest’ button.
- In increments of £1,000 (minimum investment of £1,000) input the value of funds you’d like to subscribe to the bond in the ‘Amount to Invest (£)’ field.
- Confirm you have read and agree to the final terms of the offer, acknowledge the base prospectus and are instructing the subscribe by clicking the tick boxes and clicked ‘Invest’.
Your funds are now subscribed to the bond as detailed on this page. Should you wish to add funds to your holding account, please click ‘Add Funds’. If not, click ‘Close’ to exit.
While you can subscribe funds to a bond without having sufficient funds in your account, you must ensure that funds have been added to your account before the bond you're wishing to invest into closes.
- Log into your Wellesley account here.
- Once logged in click ‘INVEST’ from the top menu bar.
- Click the red ‘Withdraw Cash’ button.
- Please complete the form and click ‘Confirm’ to send your withdrawal request.
Please note, withdrawal requests will be processed as BACs payments at 3.30pm every Monday to Friday. Please allow up to four days for funds to clear from the date stipulated in your request. They will be returned to the UK bank account linked to your account, details of which can be found on your ‘Account Overview’ page.

Please note we may require additional documentation to confirm the bank account details you provided are in your name and not a 3rd party.
You can update these via your Wellesley account. Simply login to your account here , hover over the icon in the top right hand corner and select the relevant option from the drop-down menu. This page gives you an overview of your Wellesley accounts.
What you can do here:
- View an overview of total funds across your accounts
- View the bank account details Wellesley has on file for you. This will be the bank account that any withdrawal requests will be paid into.
This page is the hub of all account activity. It’s from this page that you can instruct activity on your account such as add cash or invest in an investment product.
What you can do here:
- View recent cash activity in each of your accounts. Please note this will not update when funds are subscribed to a bond; this will only show once a bond lists on Euronext Dublin
- Add cash to your account
- Withdraw funds from your account
- Invest into a bond
- Download an excel overview of activity in each account
This page provides an overview of all live investments and your cash balance.
What you can do here:
- View your cash accounts - If you have an ISA or a Wellesley Classic account you will also see these balances here. Please note that a Wellesley Classic balance is where interest and any capital from maturing legacy peer-to-peer or mini-bond holdings will be paid into. It will be transferred across to your holding account the same day where you can withdraw or invest funds.
- View your bond holdings - Your investment will only display here once a bond lists. During the subscription period this will display in the Recent Activity page under the Pending Orders tab.
- View your remaining legacy peer-to-peer or mini-bond holdings - For further information on their holdings, please go to Wellesley Classic .
This page documents all activity on your account.
What you can do here:
- View an pending bond subscriptions. If you subscribe to a bond, it will appear under the Pending Orders tab as a 'buy' Trade Type. When the bond closes, it will appear again as a 'purchase' Trade Type. Please be aware that it will not appear on the Holdings page of your account until the bond lists. - View all account transactions. You can select the time-frame you'd like to look at via the calendar icon under the Recent Activity heading.
- Download a report of all activity
If you're a customer with a Wellesley Classic account, please note that this does not document historic transactions and will therefore only show transactions that have occurred on the new platform.
If you ever want to get back to the main Account Overview page of the dashboard, please click Clients from the top menu.
Before a bond closes, any pending subscriptions will appear under a Pending Orders tab on the Recent Activity page of your account.
Once a bond has listed, your investment will appear under the Holdings page of your account.
